What We Do

We create spaces that strengthen the arts community by providing clay artists access to education, resources and support. These include online clay education resources, programming, and in-person pop-up invitational markets in Bellingham, WA to financially support and promote inclusivity in arts spaces around Whatcom County, including Burnish Clay Studio’s studio grant program, which offers opportunities and access to the ceramic arts for queer and BIPOC artists, a collaborative “traveling gallery” experience that centers queer, BIPOC, and women artists, partnerships with local businesses, and both in-person and online critique clubs to help artists continue to grow.

What We Offer

  • Quarterly pop-up markets in Bellingham, WA, with proceeds split between the artists and local organizations that support queer and BIPOC artists and community members.

  • A regularly-updated library of demos, videos, online classes, and how-to’s, designed to help clay artists of all levels.

  • Panel talks and interviews with guest artists.

  • A monthly critique club: present your work online to a friendly and thoughtful audience and receive valuable feedback on your work!

  • Regular themed programming and challenges to help you expand your creative horizons through Patreon and Instagram.
